Hitwise News Feed

Hitwise wanted a daily feed for their customers, bringing the insights to them, instead of making them hunt through the data.
Up until now, Hitwise would deliver data to their customers and the burden would be on the customer to find the insights within that data batch. The News Feeds introduces the concept of the platform itself finding those morsels of insights and bringing them to the foreground via a daily feed on their home page, and allowing customers to access those insights on the go.

This is a real game-changer as the platform is now working algorithmically to allow the users to take a more passive role and make the product handle the majority of the heavy lifting required in finding those insights. Here are some of the designs I came up with in how we should deliver that daily data.

Bringing it home

A complete home delivery

When a user logs into the platform, their home page is updated with the most relevant data changes that we think they would be interested in, based on their use case. This could include fast moving competitors, search terms we think they should be bidding on, or audience suggestions for their next marketing campaign.

Seemless sharing

Pass it along

We created an in-app messaging feature along with one-click sharing to allow users to pass along that information along to other teammates, non-users, and anyone in their contact list.

Keeping up with content

Never miss a report again

Making sure that you’re keeping up with the content we are publishing was a difficult task up until now. Whenever we publish anything, it will automatically be added to a user’s daily feed so they never miss a report again.
